About Fruit of Change

This blog is borne out of desiring to share with others. I have given scripture booklets to friends, family, and whoever wants them. We are reading the booklets together for at least 30 days. I share in the blog what God gives me about the seeds we are planting. I believe that as we sow the Word and pray together, we are going to see transformation in our lives. The Word sown in our hearts will yield the fruit of change.

WWHIYP for the President

If you badmouth the president, you're wrong. God's word shows and tells us to respect authority.

David was called to be king while he was still a shepherd. The current king was a little crazy. He was being oppressed by an evil spirit. David would play anointed music for King Saul and that spirit would leave. 1 Samuel 16:14-23 David killed a giant that had been harassing King Saul's army. Saul became jealous and tried to kill David as he played that music to alleviate Saul of the evil spirit. He tried to kill David! He later chased David with his army to kill him. Once Saul went into a cave where David was hiding. Saul was unaware of David's presence. Saul was so close to David that he could have easily killed the man who was trying to kill him. But instead he said he would not harm God's anointed one. 1 Samuel 24:1-15 Anointed? The one who is trying to kill you?

David knew that authority comes from God. Even in the New Testament it says:

1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. Romans 13:1-7 NKJV
