About Fruit of Change

This blog is borne out of desiring to share with others. I have given scripture booklets to friends, family, and whoever wants them. We are reading the booklets together for at least 30 days. I share in the blog what God gives me about the seeds we are planting. I believe that as we sow the Word and pray together, we are going to see transformation in our lives. The Word sown in our hearts will yield the fruit of change.

Prayer Revolution -- A Cool Way to Pray

On Thursday, as I was driving, I was praying for someone. I prayed, "Lord, deliver him from anything that he wouldn't want anyone to know."

That must have been a Spirit-led prayer. I don't know of anything wrong in the life of the person for whom I was praying. I've never prayed like that before. But I thought, "How cool is that?" I thought about how I would love for someone to pray that for me.

Probably most people have something in their lives that they don't want anyone to know. I sure do. I would hate for anyone to know how much I have been eating lately.  Like that's my only flaw. But we won't discuss that right now.

But what if we prayed for each others' flaws/sins? We don't have to know everything about a person. God knows. Honestly, I wouldn't want to know everything about most people. We just have to remember that none of us is perfect.

That evening I went to pray with my partners. One of them, Frank, shared this word that Holy Spirit had given him:

"Welcome to the Awakening.  It's not what you thought it would look like- is it?  It's not about what I'm about to do through you but what I'm "awakening" in you.  These are weed seeds or character pitfalls that serve as a stumbling block to My fulfillment in your life.  Don't overlook what stands before you.  These things will look diverse from the outside.  It will highlight faults or other pitfalls that overshadow your pitfalls.  It's true that others have character issues but it's not about that.  It's about you.  Notice, Lorrie's key chain is prophetically speaking "it's all about me".  In this sense, it's true.  My son, think about it.  If each person would become aware of his/her own pitfalls, the pitfalls of the church would be addressed.  Ask yourself this question:  What character flaws can I learn from this?"  It's the road to recovery for both the church and self.  Welcome to the Awakening.  It's about making the man before manifesting the ministry."

We serve one God. He gives each us of a part. How cool is it the way the Spirit gave me how to pray for someone and gave a prayer partner insight that helped me understand how I was praying. I never get tired of the way God does this.

We can start a prayer revolution by praying for each others' faults whether we know them or not. We can pray that way without being judgmental. Sometimes we don't recognize our flaws. That's why we need to look in the mirror of God's Word – so we can see who we really are.

How cool would it be if we walked around flawless? One day . . . ahhhh. We will be, but we can get a head start on it today.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:25-27 NKJV

Jesus is going to remove our flaws and pitfalls by the Word. That's a promise.  He is doing that right now. We can be the prayer warriors that He uses.

Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. James 5:16 AMP

Pray with me:

Father, what a cool way to pray – to see someone healed inside from flaws, faults, pitfalls and sins. How awesome is it that you can use my heartfelt prayer to see someone delivered from the things that keep them from moving forward in You. I lift up my prayer partners to You. I pray that You will deliver them from every secret flaw in them that they don't want anyone to know about. I pray that You will show everyone who is reading this who they are in Christ. Sometimes our perspective is off -- we are too hard on ourselves. On the other hand, we don't always see our faults. But I pray that my partners and I will confess the faults that we know. Then help us, Father to be faithful to pray fervently and perseveringly for each other. I want to even pray for those hidden things in my prayer partners that they do not recognize about themselves – the faults that only You know. We want to be the Church. Wash us, Jesus with the water of Your Word. Remove every spot. Iron out every wrinkle. Make us holy and without blemish. We will always praise Your holy name and give You glory. Thank you, thank You! So be it.
