About Fruit of Change

This blog is borne out of desiring to share with others. I have given scripture booklets to friends, family, and whoever wants them. We are reading the booklets together for at least 30 days. I share in the blog what God gives me about the seeds we are planting. I believe that as we sow the Word and pray together, we are going to see transformation in our lives. The Word sown in our hearts will yield the fruit of change.

Prayer Revolution—Knowing to Whom We Pray

Tuesdays can be my cranky days. Maybe it's because I get up earlier on Tuesday than any other day. The problem is that the reason I get up early is to go to church to pray. No, going to church to pray is not a problem. Being cranky when I get to work and people know that I've gone to pray . . . that's a problem. Maybe no one notices. Yeah right!

Maybe I'm cranky because I'm tired. Maybe it's because we have meetings first thing on Tuesday mornings at work. It doesn't matter. It's not acceptable. Since I have this tendency, I was a bit concerned this morning. Okay, I was fretting over it. I thought I might ask my prayer partners to pray with me about it.

Our prayer time was great. We were almost finished when today's leader asked one of our partners if she had a scripture to share. She shared this:

Together they will be like mighty men
trampling the muddy streets in battle.
Because the LORD is with them,
they will fight and overthrow the horsemen.
       Zechariah 10:5 NKJV

That scripture made me feel better – remembering that God is with His people and because of that, they are victorious.

Then the leader read Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
      I will strengthen you,
      Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
               Isaiah 41:10 NKJV

Woooo hooooo! Hallelujah!

I felt sooooo much better after reading/hearing those Words. I stopped stressing about being cranky at work. I praised God instead as I remembered that He is with me. He is my God. He will strengthen me. He will help me. He will hold me up!

When we remember who He is, we can pray so much better. Knowing to whom we are praying and giving Him praise revolutionizes our prayer lives.

It was a good day. :-)

Praise with me:

Father, You alone are God. But You're are not just God, You are my God. You are my Father! Thank You, Jesus for coming to my rescue. Thank You that I don't have to worry, fear, or fret. I worship Your awesomeness. Your are omnipresent – You are with me. You are love that removes my fear. You are my victory! You are Almighty, All-powerful God. You are Yahweh Shammah, the Lord is there. Thank You for holding me in Your hand and no one can pluck me out of it. I am safe with You and I love You. Amen!
